Coding and debugging are part of my "other" task as Civil Engineer. Some time it was very annoying just because to think a line of logic of code much effort have to spent but I enjoy it much more then to write a paragraph of an analysis result's discussion.
LICCOMS version 1.2 is our project with Ministry of Housing and Local Government Malaysia. The main purpose of this software is to provide estimation of total incurred cost during construction to the end of a building service life. Many aspects were considered in estimating the cost such as environmental, building service load, inflation and financial. My core part is to predict the service life of building components based on its material used and the effect of environment and the building service load that accelerate the degradation process.
