During north east monsoon season east cost of Paninsular Malaysia is experienced with heavy rain and wind blow from south china sea. This wind have brought and deposited chloride. Effect of the chloride to the degradation process is due to its relationship with time of wetness where with the presence of chloride the moisture layer on the surface of building components will become prolong.
